"Champions of the Golden Valley" — Film Screening & Conversation

Alumni Affairs and the Communications Department invite you to a special on-campus screening of "Champions of the Golden Valley," a powerful feature documentary produced by Seaver alumna Katie Stjernholm (’10)." The film follows the remarkable true story of an Afghan Olympic hopeful whose unfulfilled dream inspires a new generation to embrace skiing and hope in the face of adversity.

Recently named an Oscar contender, this inspiring documentary celebrates resilience, community, and the pursuit of dreams against all odds.

Following the screening, there will be a conversation and Q&A with Katie Stjernholm, offering a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the film and her journey as a filmmaker.

Katie Stjernholm (’10) is an award-winning producer and storyteller whose work highlights stories of courage, connection, and transformation. With Champions of the Golden Valley, she brings to life an extraordinary tale of hope and human spirit set against the breathtaking backdrop of Afghanistan’s snow-capped mountains.
