Al Wooten Jr. Youth Center Toy and Gift Card Donation Drive

November 11 - December 5, 2024

Embracing Pepperdine’s value of service, Human Resources is partnering with the Al Wooten Jr. Youth Center to collect new toys and gift cards for children and teens in South Los Angeles. The Wooten Center, founded by Myrtle Faye Rumph in memory of her son Al Wooten Jr., provides educational and enrichment programs for young adults, and has existing relationships with the Pepperdine community through Seaver College’s Business Administration Division, Foster Grandparent program, and is actively working with Pepperdine students to increase the effectiveness of their marketing efforts.

Please consider donating to this worthy cause and supporting Pepperdine's mission of service. 

Items you can donate:

  • New toys for children and teens (ages 7-17)

    • Card games
    • Craft kits
    • Dolls and action figures
    • Educational or science kits
    • Legos and similar building kits
    • Puzzles
    • Sports equipment
  • Gift cards for children and teens (ages 7-17)

    • Regal Entertainment
    • Salt & Straw
    • Starbucks

Donation bins are available at the Malibu Campus for you to drop off donations. Please drop new toys in the donation bins around campus while intercampus mailing gift cards to the Human Resources suite (TAC 120). Donation bins are available at the following locations until Thursday, December 5:

  • Human Resources Lobby, TAC 120
  • CCB, 3rd Floor

You are also welcome and encouraged to donate directly to the Wooten Center via this online donation form. Please note Pepperdine University's Holiday Donation Drive when doing so.

Partnering with the Al Wooten Jr. Youth Center is an excellent opportunity to embody Pepperdine’s Christian values while exuding purpose and leadership through selfless acts of service. Please take advantage of our donation bins to contribute to the Wooten Center.
