We are now hiring for 3 Relationship Educator Interns and 1 Marketing and Media Intern for the 2024 - 2025 academic year. Applications are due March 29, 2024 (or until positions are filled).

Relationship Educator Interns

 

Relationship Educator Interns are Pepperdine University, Seaver students selected and trained by the Boone Center for the Family's Relationship IQ Program to effectively plan, run, and lead interactive presentations about healthy relationships, promote healthy relationships among peers, and run the Relationship IQ programming. Presentations are usually made as a team with two educators involved and conducted in places such as classes, clubs and organizations, dorms, and Seaver 200 programming.

 

Expectations - Relationship Educator Interns are expected to:

 

  • Commit between five and ten hours per week (with the occasional heavier week) with the Relationship IQ Program.
  • Participate in a 4-5 day training to be held in August the week prior to NSO (you may move in early to your on campus housing).
  • Attend the Unplugged Retreat often held the weekend prior to the start of the spring semester in January.
  • Participate in weekly staff meetings during the school year.
  • Provide healthy relationship advice to fellow students (Friend2Friend program).  
  • Develop and deliver educational programming on relational health to Seaver students, to include presenting in on-campus housing and for Connection Chapel large groups, RelateWell workshops, posting on the rIQ Instagram page, and hosting Relationship Week in February.
  • Assist in the development, coordination, and production of other Relationship IQ presentations, events, and promotional activities.
  • Complete a maximum of three hours per week of office work for the Boone Center for the Family, if needed.

rIQ Marketing and Media Interns

 

rIQ Marketing and Media Intern is a Pepperdine University, Seaver student selected and trained by the Boone Center for the Family's Relationship IQ Program to support rIQ's marketing, advertising, social media, website, video, and photo needs. This position will receive all the benefits of being trained in Relationship IQ with the other interns so that they are better able to communicate the rIQ message through media, online, and print formats.

 

Expectations - rIQ Marketing and Media Interns are expected to:

  • Design and publicize printed advertising for each rIQ event (this task is a significant part of the job).
  • Manage rIQ social media.
  • Create rIQ Google slideshows.
