General Guidelines

Style

Digital signage slides should be attractive, appropriate, and brief.

Intended Use

Digital signage is not intended for classified announcements (e.g. room for rent) or other events or announcements that do not support the mission of Pepperdine University. The use of digital signage, like the use of any other University resource or activity, is subject to the normal requirements of legal and ethical behavior within the University community.

Compliance

All users of digital signage must comply with all federal, state, and other applicable laws; all generally applicable University rules and policies; and all applicable contracts and licenses. Examples include, but are not limited to, the laws of privacy, copyright, and trademark. Users are responsible for ascertaining, understanding, and complying with the laws, rules, policies, contracts, and licenses applicable to their particular uses.

Emergency Situations

In the event of an emergency, the Emergency Operations Committee (EOC) will assume responsibility for all monitors. The monitors in the TCC and FFH have been wired for emergency power usage, and the EOC will use these for communication during relocation.
