2023 Step Forward Day
On September 9th, 2023, Pepperdine students, staff, faculty, and alumni will come together to serve alongside other Waves as a part of this year’s Step Forward Day. Community Engagement and Service in The Hub for Spiritual Life has identified the following four projects that would greatly benefit from staff and faculty volunteers:
- Food Share of Ventura County: food sorting and produce packing (off-campus);
- The People Concern Cloverfield: serving lunch at a community center (off-campus);
- Operation Christmas Child with Samaritan's Purse: assembling gift items for children in poverty around the world (on-campus);
- Military Veterans' Ride to the Flags: setting up for fundraiser event supporting military veterans (next to campus); please note: this project takes place from 3 - 8 PM and involves lifting up to 35 pound (tables, chairs, and other event equipment).

round-trip transportation. Each project will last approximately 9 AM - 2 PM.
