Federal Loan Revision Request
If you need to increase, reallocate, or decrease your aid offer, you may do so by submitting the Loan Revision Request form.
Financial Aid Verification
Verification is a quality-control method used by the U.S. Department of Education to verify the accuracy of the information submitted on the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or other documents submitted to the GSEP Financial Aid Office. All schools that disburse Title IV (federal aid) funds are required to participate in the verification process. Certain students are selected at random while others are chosen based on probable errors or inconsistencies on the FAFSA. Most financial aid applications are randomly selected for Verification by the U.S. Department of Education's Federal Processor. You may learn more about the verification policy here.

Employment Verification
The Pepperdine University Graduate School of Education and Psychology (GSEP) is pleased to partner with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department (LASD) University—a consortium of universities whose mission is to provide LASDU students with accessible, multi-varied learning programs that will enhance the personal and professional growth and promote a lifelong commitment to learning. This goal is aligned with GSEP’s mission to cultivate graduates with a focus on purpose, service, and leadership.
LASD University students and their qualifying family members*, as well as city, county, state, and federal employees, are eligible for a 5 percent tuition scholarship. You may be considered by completing the form below each term.
Satisfactory Academic Progress Appeal
Pepperdine University is required by federal regulations (Sections 668.16(e), 668.32(f), and 668.34) to establish specific standards for measuring Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) for students receiving financial assistance. According to federal law, the University's SAP policy ensures that all students who receive University, state, private, and/or federal financial aid progress toward degree completion. The Financial Aid Office will monitor compliance with the SAP policy for each student. Students must meet the requirements of the SAP policy outlined to be eligible to receive financial aid. Questions about SAP policy should be addressed to the Financial Aid Office.
Special Circumstances
We recognize that your FAFSA may not always accurately reflect your financial situation. Although considerations for specific situations are limited, we may be able to give additional consideration for certain situations as described in the form below. This option is applicable to students enrolled in a program that has scholarship offerings based on financial need (i.e. PsyD and MFT Daytime Malibu programs). Please note that to review your request, the 2024-2025 Special Circumstances Evaluation Form must be completed and you must attach all pertinent documents.
2024-2025 Special Circumstances Evaluation Form
Special Circumstance appeals will be considered after you receive your initial award notification for the current aid year. After reviewing your special circumstance documentation, your aid package may remain the same, be increased, or be reduced according to the financial information that has been submitted. Submitting a special circumstance request does not guarantee an adjustment will be made to your financial aid offer.
Decisions are final and will be communicated directly to the student. For more information, contact our office.
