Certificates of Insurance

Pepperdine requires business partners to carry certain levels of insurance. Similarly, many of Pepperdine’s business partners require the same of Pepperdine. Requests often come through contracts or agreements entered into by individual departments.

The Office of Insurance and Risk is happy to assist in obtaining certificates of insurance (COIs). The following should be included in a COI request:

  • Certificate holder (person/entity requesting the certificate)
  • Types of insurance and requested limits
    • Ex. General liability with $3,000,000 limits
  • Note on whether copies of endorsement pages are needed

The following outlines the University's insurance requirements for third parties:

  • General Liability: $3,000,000 
  • Auto: $1,000,000
  • Workers Comp: $1,000,000
  • Sexual Misconduct: $3,000,000
