Breast Cancer Screenings - Mammography, Ultrasounds, MRIs & More
Approximately 1 in 8 women will develop breast cancer. Breast is the second most common type of cancer in women and in 2019 was the fourth most common cause of cancer deaths in the female population. Importantly, deaths from breast cancer have declined over time, in large part, due to screening and better therapies. This lecture will focus on breast cancer screening with mammography, ultrasounds, and MRIs. We will discuss the symptoms of breast cancer, why screening is so important, and when it is needed.
