The Science of Stress

Everyone feels stress in different ways and reacts to it differently. How much stress you experience and how you react to it can lead to a wide variety of serious health problems (heart disease, high blood pressure, insomnia, excessive drinking, and much more). That is why it's critical to understand the science of stress and know what you can do about it. UCLA Health cardiologist Dr. Jeffrey Harrell explains the dramatic effect of stress on your body and details the many ways to lower your stress even in the midst of a global pandemic.
