Understanding Musculoskeletal Disorders

Musculoskeletal conditions are the leading contributor to disability worldwide. Injuries can affect many different parts of the body, leading to pain and a reduced level of functioning. UCLA Health's Dr. Sabrina Sawlani discusses the most common types of musculoskeletal disorders and what can be done to prevent and treat them.

Dr. Sabrina Sawlani is a primary care sports medicine physician at UCLA Health. She specializes in the diagnosis and management of non-surgical orthopedic issues, caring for athletes and active individuals of all ages and levels. She received her medical degree from Touro University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Henderson, NV, and her undergraduate degree from Northwestern University in Evanston, IL. Dr. Sawlani sees patients in Encino, Santa Monica, and Westwood.
