Pepperdine Relaunches Vanpool Program for Eligible Employees

Pepperdine Human Resources has restarted the vanpool program for full-time faculty and staff who commute to the Malibu campus five days a week.

The University offers 10 routes to the Malibu campus from the following locations:

Camarillo
Echo Park
Hollywood/Los Angeles
Moorpark
North San Fernando Valley
Palmdale
Port Hueneme/Oxnard
Simi Valley
Van Nuys
Westside/LAX

Eligible employees interested in our vanpool program must fill out the Vanpool Program Interest Form.

COVID-19 Protocols

Originally launched in 2003 to offer the University community assistance in managing commutes to the Malibu campus through subsidized ridesharing, the vanpool program was paused in March 2020 due to COVID-19 restrictions.

Based on current Los Angeles County health orders, the following interim COVID-19 protocols are in place for all vanpool riders, regardless of vaccination status:

Face coverings must be worn at all times.
Riders may temporarily remove a face covering to consume food and drink but must wear the face-covering at all other times.
Employees who were utilizing the vanpool program prior to the pandemic have been given priority to rejoin the program, and some routes may be nearing van capacity.
