Here at outdoor recreation, we strive to create a space for students to build a supportive community and environment where they can be challenged to move beyond their comfort zones. Within this community, we aim to facilitate connections to nature, God, and fellow Pepperdine students through the various outdoor activities we do! With activities ranging from rock climbing, skiing, and camping to backpacking, beach days, and movie nights, outdoor recreation has something for everyone and we welcome all experience levels!
Each year, the outdoor recreation team chooses a theme that represents what we want to embody and live-out as a community. The theme we chose this year for outdoor recreation is Onward. We acknowledge that so many of us have had to endure several really difficult consecutive years and everyone is feeling a bit worn out. Maybe this is the first season in a while that's felt normal or maybe it's been another challenging year so far. Either way, we want to encourage you to take courage with us and keep... "pressing on towards the goal for which God has called [us] heavenward in Christ Jesus." - Philippians 3:14
This year, our outdoor rec team invites you to move onward and heavenward with us up these mountains (literal and metaphorical), with the hope and promise that we have in the Lord of greater views to come.
