Informal Recreation
Informal recreation includes free recreational sports equipment rentals as well as access to open recreational facilities available throughout the Malibu campus. In an effort to increase recreational equipment and activity options for the student body, Campus Recreation provides sports equipment and lawn game rentals which are available for checkout at the Howard A. White Center (HAWC) during normal operating hours. Items available include: basketballs, soccer balls, footballs, frisbees, tennis rackets, pickleball paddles, cornhole, spikeball, jenga and more!
Open recreational facilities in addition to the main fitness facilities on campus include: Alumni Park Field, Marie Canyon Sand Volleyball Courts, residence hall sand volleyball courts, tennis courts, the pool, track, outdoor basketball courts, teqball, and a nine-hole disc golf course.
How to Reserve Equipment
Free equipment rentals are available to current Pepperdine students, staff and faculty. All equipment rentals must be reserved in advance though the link below and sports equipment and lawn games can be reserved for a duration of up to 4 days at a time.

To reserve equipment:
Step 1 - Create an equipment rentals membership if you do not already have one. You will be required to pay a refundable deposit
of $1.00 to store your credit card on file in case equipment is returned damaged,
dirty, late, etc.
Step 2 - Select which equipment you want to rent and the duration period through our
online portal below ensuring you view and affirm all agreements as prompted.
Step 3 - Visit the HAWC front desk during their operating hours on the day you selected
to pick up the reserved equipment and let our student staff know you have a reservation.
Step 4 - Collect your equipment and have a great time!
Note: all equipment must be returned to the HAWC front desk staff during operating hours.
