Our nutrition services program is an integral part of the Student Health Center's health and wellness education and patient services program.

With so many options, students are often confused about how to eat right. We want to help our students navigate food choices on- and off-campus. Our Registered Dietitian-Nutritionist, Katherine McCune, has a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics degree and a Master's degree in Educational Psychology and Counseling, with skills and knowledge to translate nutritional science into practical information. Katherine designs healthy individual meal plans, including a personal food/nutrition history and determination of a healthy weight. She also provides special recommendations, meal plans, and recipes for those who follow a vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, paleo, food allergy, sensitive digestive system, and other special diets.

Additionally, Katherine organizes nutrition education programs for specialized groups, including residential halls, convocations, health and wellness fairs, professor-requested presentations, and food committee participation.

Katherine is available Tuesdays and Thursdays. Call 310.506.4316, option 3, to schedule an appointment.
