Approved Payment Options
Employees may be reimbursed for business-related expenses when using cash or personal credit cards. Additionally, employees may use certain alternative payment options, such as web-based or app-based payment platforms. Please see substantiation requirements for approved alternative payment options.
The following payment methods are approved for reimbursement as long as the appropriate substantiation is provided:

Venmo – Venmo is generally used to pay Individuals, and the University does not reimburse for that kind of payment. Reimbursements for purchases made through Venmo cannot be processed at the Cashier's Office. The only Venmo exceptions for reimbursement will be made through Accounts Payable.
