Reimbursement FAQs
What if my app/account does not show my credit card number?
Verification of the source of funds attached to your app/account is required, as it is necessary to show that the app is not attached to a University credit card or to a gift card; purchases made with a gift card will not be reimbursed.
If your app does not display your account information or credit card number, you can provide a a bank or credit card statement that includes the supplier name and the receipt total.
I made a purchase using my digital wallet (Apple, Google or Samsung pay); how can I obtain a receipt for substantiation?
Apple Pay, Google Pay and Samsung Pay do not provide e-receipts. Although the digital wallet on your phone does display supplier and transaction total amount, this is not an itemized list of purchases. In order to be reimbursed for purchases made using Apple Pay, Google Pay or Samsung Pay, you must obtain an itemized receipt from the supplier, just as you would do if you were paying directly by debit, credit card or cash.
What if I used my Grubhub account to purchase gift certificates to give out to students or employees?
Reimbursements for gift card purchases cannot be processed at the Cashier's Office. These reimbursements will only be made through Accounts Payable.
I made a purchase using my Starbucks app, but my account information does not clearly indicate that my own credit card is attached to the account. How can I verify the source of funds attached to the account?
Verification of the source of funds attached to your app/account is required, as it is necessary to show that the app is not attached to a University credit card or to a gift card. If your Starbucks app account information does not display your account or credit card number, you can provide verification that you have reloaded funds to your Starbucks app within the last 90 days. Please provide a screenshot from the History on your app that lists your Reload of funds, and also provide a copy of a bank or credit card statement that includes the date and the reload amount to match your app history.
