Informal Resolution
Informal Resolution is a voluntary process that a student Complainant and a student Respondent can mutually agree to participate in as an alternative to a formal grievance process.
An informal resolution process will not generally be offered to resolve allegations of Sexual Misconduct against a student by a Pepperdine employee. However, as determined by the University Title IX Coordinator in consultation with other departments as necessary, informal resolution may be appropriate to resolve allegations of Sexual Misconduct against an employee by another Pepperdine employee.
Before initiating an informal resolution process, a Complainant must submit a Formal Complaint. If a Complainant or Respondent wishes to initiate an informal resolution, they should contact La Shonda Coleman, the University Title IX Coordinator, to make this request.
Please see the complete Sexual Misconduct Policy, Section XI, to review the entire policy and procedure regarding Informal Resolution.
