Volunteer to be a Student-Leader for First Year Hall Presentations

Every year during the first week of school, the Counseling Center offers a 1-hour sexual assault training for each freshman hall. This training is led by a team of two staff members and two student-leaders. Student-leaders receive about six hours of training prior to hall presentations.

Interested in assisting with the development, planning, and implementation of sexual assault prevention programs and events? Volunteer or intern with the counseling center. Each semester the counseling center has various opportunities for students to assist with outreach programming.

Training for Pepperdine faculty and staff can be requested by contacting Pepperdine's Title IX Office at natalie.g.hagedorn@pepperdine.edu.

Request a Training

The Counseling Center offers sexual assault prevention and Step Up! bystander intervention training workshops by request. These trainings are tailored to your group and can range from 30-90 minutes. 

To become a student leader, volunteer or intern with the counseling center, or to request a training, please contact Stacey Lee at stacey.lee@pepperdine.edu. When scheduling a training, please include your group name, the workshop you are requesting, and the length of time you have for the workshop.
