Analytics
Overview
Large institutional systems, like those at Pepperdine, produce significant numbers of unstructured data streams, providing a wealth of information. Analytics harnesses the data from these multiple systems into one true source, providing actionable data for users to discover meaningful insights effectively and efficiently.
Storytelling with Data
Here, the whole is truly greater than the sum of its parts. Analytics often involves studying current and historical data to explore trends, measure student success, and evaluate operational costs across business units. Analytics is an institutional asset that provides new and exciting insights for the University to facilitate its mission to strengthen students' lives for service, purpose, and leadership.
The Office of Business Intelligence (BI) focuses on building a foundation for high-quality data through its University-wide, highly collaborative Data Stewardship program, and offers visibility and insight into those data through its centralized, standardized reporting platform, University Analytics.
