Online MSHR Student Resources

Students talking at Pepperdine event

The Online MSHR Program comprises 30 units of coursework, encompassing a range of topics that represent nearly all the academic disciplines of the Graziadio Business School. As part of the degree requirement, students will attend two residential "immersion" sessions, which are associated with program courses (BSCI 650 and STGY 655) and serve as integral elements of the learning experience.

Please note that as of Fall 2022, the MSHR program will be comprised of 30 units of coursework. Additionally, students will attend a 3-day workshop associated with BSCI 650 at the beginning of the program. Failure to follow the course sequence listed on the curriculum worksheet may result in limited availability and/or delayed graduation.

Through the duration of a graduate program, a minimum overall cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 3.0 is required to maintain satisfactory academic standing. Student academic performance is monitored by the Program Office at the end of each term, and students falling below the 3.0 CGPA minimum are subject to Academic Monitoring. Graduate students that fall below a 2.7 CGPA will be placed on Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) Warning. Students will be notified in writing of the change in status and potential adjustments to the academic success plan. Students who fail to regain good standing within the time frame specified in the SAP policy will be subject to dismissal from the Business School. Please refer to the Satisfactory Academic Progress Policy for more details.

The minimum passing grade for individual courses is a "C-." A core course in which a non-passing grade is earned must be repeated. For elective courses in which a non-passing grade is earned, students have the option of repeating the course or taking a different elective of an equivalent unit value.

As a member institution of Beta Gamma Sigma International, Pepperdine selects the top 20% of graduate-level students to join the prestigious honor society. The GPA review takes place during the final trimester of enrollment, encompassing grades that have officially posted on a student's record to date. Courses that are "in progress" at the time of the GPA review will not be considered for the purposes of determining the list of invitees to the Beta Gamma Sigma induction ceremony.
