Goals
There are three main goals for the Technology and Learning team:
- To research technologies and trends in higher education
- To partner with faculty to develop effective teaching models using technology
- To promote the effective use of educational technologies
Objectives
Research
- Assess the learning technology needs of Pepperdine
- Attend conferences and webinars
- Participate in listservs
- Read journals and academic publications
Partner
- Consult with faculty about existing and/or future initiatives
- Build a peer learning community
- Develop learning technology solutions for the academic community
Promote
- Initiate faculty outreach
- Conduct professional development and webinars for faculty on learning technologies
- Produce self-help training materials (webpages, videos, screencasts)
- Present findings at conferences and/or in journal publications
