Summer 2021 Faculty Professional Development

Students learning remotely and in-person, in the classroom.

Course Overview:

The Flexible Teaching Certificate (FTC) is a six-week tutorial course, designed to get faculty comfortable with new classroom technology, designing equitable course content (regardless of delivery modality), digital accessibility, Universal Design for Learning principles, and much more!  Colleagues enrolled in the FTC course will model a "HyFlex" classroom which will allow each participant the flexibility to participate in the course face-to-face, synchronously online, asynchronously online, or some combination of these three elements.

Participants should plan on spending approximately 2-4 hours per week to cover weekly modules in addition to a weekly synchronous hour-long class each week.  Space is limited, RSVP today!

Session Dates:

To meet the needs of Pepperdine faculty at all five schools, we are offering two identical six-week sessions over the summer.

Please note: Participants will receive a Flexible Teaching Certificate for successfully completing the requirements.
