Faculty Professional Development

Overview

Faculty Professional Development (or "FacProfDev") is a program proudly offered by the Technology & Learning team. Its aim is to educate, prepare, and equip professors with the tools and skills to effectively integrate technology into their curricula.

Workshops and Certificate Programs

We offer in-person, hybrid, and fully-online instructor-led professional development opportunities where the Technology & Learning team delivers sessions based on various topics. We often partner with professors and colleagues at the schools to serve as subject matter experts and share their experiences with teaching and learning technologies. Whenever possible, we provide time for hands-on activities to practice directly with tools.

UDAIL Summer Certificate Program

The Universal Design and AI for Learning (UDAIL) Summer Certificate Program is an in-person professional development experience hosted at the Calabasas campus. Designed for faculty, the program explores the intersection of accessibility, Universal Design for Learning (UDL), and artificial intelligence in higher education — offering practical strategies for building more flexible, inclusive, and human-centered courses. Participants will experiment hands-on with AI-supported tools and workflows, engage in collaborative discussion, and leave with concrete approaches for integrating emerging technologies into their teaching and course design.
