Courses Upgrade Powered by Sakai 19
Overview
On Tuesday, August 13, 2019, Courses was upgraded to Sakai 19. This upgrade comes with the new Rubrics feature, along with improvements and performance enhancements for the Assignments, Tests & Quizzes, Gradebook, Overview, and other tools.
Clear Your Cache!
After the upgrade, users need to clear their web browser cache to see all of the new changes. Learn how and why it's important to clear your browser cache.
Upgrade Highlights:
Rubrics Tool: Create Customizable Rubrics for Grading
Leverage Courses' newest feature that allows instructors to create, manage, and grade from rubrics within the Assignments, Tests & Quizzes, Gradebook, and Forums tools.
Overview Tool: New "Manage Overview" Functionality
The new "Manage Overview" functionality allows instructors to configure the order and layout of the Welcome, Announcements, Calendar, Messages, and other widgets on the Overview tool.
Tests & Quizzes Tool: Updated User Interface
New user interface that merges "Working Copy" and "Published" assessments in one easily viewable list.
Roster Tool: New Layout Options
Leverage new user-interface enhancements, including the ability to view your roster in different layouts.
Site Info Tool: New "Manage Participants" Area
New "Manage Participants" tab to cut down on loading time when accessing the Site Info tool home-page.
Lessons Tool: Personalization
Personalize your instructional content in addressing students by name within lessons pages.
