How do I sign up?

Students may apply for summer housing via the Housing Portal. Within the summer housing application process, students will indicate each summer session in which they are enrolled and are requesting housing for. Please note, that in order to be eligible for on-campus housing over the summer, students must be enrolled in at least one summer unit (per session).

Students should promptly submit their housing applications. Should a student submit an application the weekend before summer session check-ins, they will most likely not receive a housing placement before the standard move-in date.

Can I request a roommate?

Yes, students may request up to one roommate for Summer 2022. Students interested in living with a specific roommate for summer housing must ensure that both individuals are enrolled in courses for the same summer session;

  • have applied for summer housing corresponding to the session(s) in which they are enrolled;
  • request the roommate within the Summer 2022 application in the Housing Portal; and
  • have confirmed the request.

Please note that students may only request one roommate. The maximum group size is two students. Although we do our best to accommodate, HRL cannot guarantee placement with requested roommates.

When do I check in and check out?

Summer Session 1:

  • Check-In: May 8
  • Check-Out: June 4 by 9 AM

Summer Session 2:

  • Check-In: June 5
  • Check-Out: July 2 by 9 AM

Summer Session 3:

  • Check-In: July 3
  • Check-Out: July 30 by 9 AM

If you are a first-year or a transfer student, check your WaveNet account to ensure you do not have a registration hold from the Student Health Center. If you do, contact the Student Health Center to clear prior to arrival.

All move-ins start at 1 PM. If you are a returning student, your student ID card will give you access to your permanent housing assignment. If you are a first-year student and don't yet have a student ID card, please plan to get yours at OneStop in the Thornton Administrative Center. Please be sure to upload your ID picture prior to coming to campus, which will better facilitate the process of getting your student ID card.

What do meal plans look like over the summer?

To enroll in a summer meal plan, please email housing@pepperdine.edu. There are three meal plan options students may select for the summer. For more information, please visit our Meal Plan Rates webpage. Rates are subject to change.

Please note that neither meal plans nor housing is mandatory for students enrolled in summer sessions.
