Mental Health

While studying abroad, students have access to a variety of resources and support systems designed to help them maintain and support their mental health. Overall, there are multiple avenues available to help students abroad navigate the emotional and psychological challenges that may arise while living and learning in a different country.

  • International SOS: All internationally-based students may access urgent mental health services by contacting International SOS at 1-215-942-8226 and will be matched with an approved provider. Students should request a GeoBlue provider.
  • TalkNow: All IP students have access to immediate mental health services (counseling services only) through TalkNow. Clients must have a U.S. phone number while abroad to access care. Call the following U.S. number: 833.484.6359, option 1. Request TalkNow services.
  • GeoBlue: All internationally-based non-urgent mental health issues should be managed by contacting GeoBlue (use the app or call 610.254.8771)
  • Peppedine's Counseling Center: In crisis situations, IP students may contact a Pepperdine counselor at 310.506.4210

Washington D.C. students are provided with contact information for a locally-based mental health provider.
