Charlie Engelmann | Senior Director of Operations

  • Former Director of Pepperdine's Shanghai residential program; alumnus of Heidelberg Program
  • Traveled to more than 35 countries; lived in China for more than 15 years; fluent in Mandarin and highly skilled at eating dumplings.
  • Charlie is managing the expansion of Pepperdine's programmatic offerings in Asia, including the Japan Summer Program and a future residential program in Asia. He also promotes student abroad opportunities through marketing, events and student development.

  • Stacey assists students with preparing their vital documents, visa applications, submission to consulates for visa approval, and immigration questions.

  • Rachel is primarily responsible for oversight and management of the student admissions and preparations process, including program enrollment, vital documents, visas, flights and IP scholarships.

  • Bernadette has traveled to 20+ countires and lived in New York City, Philadelphia, Washington, D.C., and Barcelona. She is skilled at finding the best local cafes and coffee shops.
  • Bernadette reviews and analyzes the financial transactions and budgets for each International Program.

Anika De Long | Coordinator of Study Abroad Enrollment and Preparations

  • Marina has visited 18+ countries and spent a year solo traveling through the UK and Ireland
  • Marina was chair of the Energy and Environment Committee for the Tarzana Neighborhood Council and the president of the Calabasas Kiwanis Club, and a key member of an organization called Learning Through Doing Adventures which aimed to bring fun and educational experiences to inner city children.
