Honors a Graziadio supporting faculty member for high achievement in classroom performance and student learning. | This award recognizes a faculty member who has made a positive impact on our community by facilitating success, promoting respect and inclusion, communicating effectively, and/or inspiring professional growth. | The John Nicks Memorial Service Award honors faculty members who demonstrate John's qualities of character and service such as selflessness, pragmatism, dedication to students, support for the underdog, follow-through, and "grace under fire." His dedication, commitment, and integrity were evident in his service and accomplishments and are the model for granting this award. |

To create and disseminate high-quality, applied research that impacts our students, business, and society. Recipients may use these funds for either release time, or as research funds for data, supplies, or research-related travel. 2025: |

George Awards | Howard A. White Award for Teaching Excellence |
Each year, the George Awards honor some of the finest members and partners of the Graziadio School community. Recipients exemplify integrity, stewardship, courage, and compassion while enriching the ever-changing business world through their superior skills and entrepreneurial spirit. The faculty award is presented to a faculty member whose commitment to teaching personifies personal leadership, excellence, and generosity of spirit. |
Pepperdine University annually honors eight full-time faculty members with the Howard A. White Award for Teaching Excellence. Six of the awards go to faculty who are tenured or have taught at Pepperdine for six or more years (Category One) and two awards go to faculty who are not tenured and have taught at the University for fewer than six years (Category Two). Category One: Six faculty members are selected from this category, including two faculty members from Seaver College, one faculty member each from PGBS, GSEP, and the School of Law, and one additional faculty member selected from any of the University's five schools. Each honoree receives a $5,000.00 stipend. Category Two: Two faculty members are selected from this category, including one faculty member from Seaver College and one from the graduate schools. Each honoree from this category receives a $2,500.00 stipend. |
