Shared Accounts for Printing/Copying

1. Start program "Run" \\walnut\PCClient\win\client-local-install.exe
2. Install the client on local machine, then the client will start on boot up and user will not have to worry about turning it on/off.

1. Finder>Go>Connect to Server
2. In the Server Address field, type smb://walnut
3. Click Connect
4. Select PCClient
5. Select client-local-install.app

1. Start the print process from any application on your computer. A pop up window will appear...
2. Select the account to charge, personal or shared.

• • Charge to my personal account
    • The user's individual account whose charges are associated with PeopleSoft
  • Charge to shared account
    • The drop down menu will show all shared accounts the user has access to
    • It is the user's responsibility to pick the correct account

This is the simplest method for student workers to use.

1. Login with your network credentials to copierprint.pepperdine.edu
2. Select Web Print on the left dashboard
3. Select Submit a Job
4. Select a Printer
5. Select Printer Options
6. Select the account to charge, personal or shared
   • Charge to my personal account
     • The user's individual account whose charges are associated with PeopleSoft
   • Charge to shared account
     • The drop down menu will show all shared accounts the user has access to
     • It is the user's responsibility to pick the correct account
7. Upload the file to print
   • NOTE: Web Print is limited to pdf and image files.

1. Log in to Copier and select Device Functions
2. Pick the Shared Account that will be charged for ALL jobs in this login instance.
3. To make copies that are charged to a different budget, logout and log back in to select the correct budget.

• Flexibility - NO need to use and share a generic departmental ID card as students will be using their Pepperdine credentials.
• Accountability - Copy/print activity will be tracked.
• Cost Control - Department's loss is capped at the value of the pre-paid card if printing is done outside of work responsibilities.

This process requires the employee to actively select which budget to apply all copy/print activity.
