Using the Modules Tool in Pepperdine Canvas

Overview

Learn how instructors can use the Modules tool in Pepperdine Canvas.

What Does It Do?

The Modules tool allows you to sequence or structure student learning. Instructors bring together the activities and resources relevant for each module of the class, such as weekly, daily, or topical lessons for a streamlined learning path.

How You Can Use It

  • You can structure your course site for weekly content and deliverables that combine Assignments, Quizzes, Announcements, Pages, multimedia, and other resources into one flow so students don’t miss key components.
  • You can prevent students from wandering ahead by leveraging prerequisite tasks and/or time-release settings.
  • You can maximize student comprehension and ease of navigation by making sure to use clear and consistent module titles and text headers (e.g., “Week 3: The Scientific Method”).
