Pepperdine Canvas: Add Web Content Links

Overview

Learn how to add web links to your class site.

What Does It Do?

Pepperdine Canvas offers several ways for professors to add web links to their class sites:

  • The Redirect Tool feature allows instructors to integrate external websites or tools directly into their course navigation.
  • The Add External URL feature in Modules allows instructors to add a web link to their sequenced learning.
  • The Links: External Link feature in the rich content editor enables instructors to add web links to pages, assignment instructions, and other content.

How You Can Use It

  • Link to University websites or services, like Pepperdine Libraries, student success services, or the school's academic calendar.
  • Link to external websites or services, like textbook publisher sites or external reading materials (e.g., online articles, open educational resources, digital textbooks).
  • Add frequently used tools such as Google Drive, Panopto recordings, or external resources.
  • Integrate department-specific sites or professional tools relevant to the course subject.
  • Guide students to surveys, sign-up sheets, or other third-party tools.
